Scientific studies confirm that date palm pollen contains biologically active plant substances that can have hormone-like effects.
Hormonal effects: Analyses identified, among other things, coumestrol and quercetin. Coumestrol, in particular, showed a strong binding to estrogen receptors, which makes its traditional use to support fertility scientifically plausible.
Clinical studies suggest that a daily intake of 300 mg of date palm pollen for 35 days can improve libido and lubrication. Potential benefits for menopausal symptoms have also been observed.
